About Us

From a young age, I fell in love with my sense of smell. Family and friends always teased me because I literally would smell EVERYTHING. So much of our experience as humans can be linked to our olfactory senses. I am always taken to magical places simply by smelling something. For example, when I smell cotton candy, I am reminded of being at the county fair as a child with my mother, riding rides, feeling adventurous. I experience such nostalgia I can hear the laughter and excited screams, hear the whirring of rides, feel the warm summer air, and overall experience a sense of joy-just from a scent. Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, I have been molded by values of place, family, community, nature, and experiences, which have heavily influenced my adult life. I am hoping these values can be obvious by lighting my candles. These candles I am creating are based on my own nostalgia and will hopefully create similar nostalgic experiences for you. I am also open to new ideas and would love to create candles based on your nostalgia, but would not be able to guarantee a timeline because of creating each candle in small batches by hand. I am a full time psychologist so please be patient if something you want is out of stock because I will make them as soon as possible. Check out my blog for interesting and/or nostalgic content.
